‘Betting on Beloit’ Exclusive Clip: Billionaire Diane Hendricks’ daughter heads operation to revive hometown in new A&E Home reno show

In a reality TV era full of backstabbing housewives, frisky twentysomethings and vengeful realtors, we’re all in need of something a little more wholesome. Enter Betting on Beloit, a brand new A&E home renovation and design series that follows the Hendricks family’s mission to revamp the Wisconsin town that put them on the map.

Konya Hendricks Schuh—a determined real estate agent and daughter of billionaire Diane Hendricks, America’s richest self-made woman—took the reins on the laborious project. The town, recently named Wisconsin’s worst place to live by USA Today, was in desperate need of TLC. So, rather than focus on turning a profit (which, spoiler alert: they don’t), the dynamic duo embraces the challenge out of love and appreciation for their home.

“It’s where my family achieved the American dream,” Schuh said in an exclusive clip of the show obtained by Decider. Hendricks made her fortune selling wholesale building supplies with her Beloit-based company, ABC Supply, which she founded in 1982 with her now-late husband. She’s been named Forbes’ top Self-Made Woman seven years in a row, with a net worth of $20.9 billion.

When the Hendricks family found out Beloit’s low ranking among Wisconsin cities, they “doubled down,” Schuh said.”I just want to give back to the community that gave us a chance,” Hendricks said.

Driving through the historic district, Diane began complaining to her daughter about how dilapidated the neighborhood had become.

“I was like, ‘you own a construction company,’” Schuh said, but Hendricks told her she needed someone “to take the lead on it.” “I didn’t know you were listening,” Hendricks said to Konya of her decision to step up.

“Our mission is to buy the worst houses on the block and rehab them so they’re absolute stunners,” Schuh said. It seems they were successful, as the clip shows some pretty impressive before and afters.

In an emotional moment, Schuh’s daughter, Addison, tells her mom, “I know how much work you’ve put into these houses. I’m just so proud of you.”

Betting on Beloit premieres this Saturday, July 12, at 1 p.m. ET or 11 a.m. PT, exclusively on A&E.
